Ordinances

Below is a list of the codified Township ordinances. An ordinance is a law passed by the municipal government. The ordinances are administered by Township officials for the purpose of protecting private property from land use conflict or other threats to public health, safety, and welfare. Some ordinances, like zoning, plan future growth in ways that meet other community needs.

Finally, some ordinances are required by state law to establish volunteer boards, or use Township funds for fire protection and other public purposes.

All efforts are made to assure true and correct copies of Township Ordinances on the website.

Official copies of ordinances are available at the Slippery Rock Township office.
